Mantissa online courses: Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions apply to all Mantissa online courses unless otherwise agreed.

Licences are granted to named persons, who will be supplied with login credentials (e.g. email and password) for their sole use.

Licences have durations of six months from the date of student account creation, so students will be expected to complete their training within this timeframe

Sharing of student credentials with other persons constitutes a violation of this agreement. Where server logs evidence such multiple use of credentials, Mantissa reserves the right to terminate accounts without notice and without compensation.

Intellectual property

The lesson materials and the programs for their presentation and delivery are the intellectual property of Mantissa Limited. Students are allowed to capture small portions of the courses by way of screen-shots etc. for personal use; however copying of substantial portions of the materials is expressly prohibited, as is making copies of any material available to other parties.

Limits of Mantissa’s liability

Students use the lesson material on the understanding that whilst every effort has been made to ensure that the information in the lessons is correct, Mantissa Limited accepts no responsibility as to the accuracy or completeness of any statements or facts included in the lessons, and that no liability is accepted on the part of Mantissa Limited or the directors, officers, servants or agents of the above organisation for any loss or damage whatsoever arising from the use of the lesson material.

Internet security

Mantissa’s web servers are managed according to industry-standard security policies, and information exchange with customers’ computers takes place under tightly controlled circumstances. Notwithstanding this, Mantissa accepts no responsibility for damage to customers’ computers or IT infrastructure that is claimed to arise through use of Mantissa’s online course materials.
