The organisational challenge

The Incoterms rules affect people in many different functions within the company – sales, procurement, production, logistics, customs, finance and accounting, compliance etc.

All of these groups will need some knowledge of the Incoterms rules, but it is not realistic to expect them all to become experts, or to undertake extensive private study.

Typically staff will be spread around different parts of the organisation, and will have many other calls on their time – it can be very hard to get a group together for a briefing or training session.
